A famous TV producer Karel Jonak (the Czeck Republic) and EMIT representative Tommy Jahojarvi (Norway) paid a visit to the “Pearl of Siberia”. On the first day of the visit they inspected the ski tracks and clarified the location of television cameras to broadcast the upcoming European Championships in ski orienteering. It is going to be the first time when a ski orienteering event will be broadcasted at this high level. An international team of professionals will broadcast reports of the mixed relay race March 7, sprint distance March 8, long distance March 9 and relay race March 12. There will be used 16 television cameras and also a mobile TV station, which has no analogies in Russian, broadcasting the event anywhere in the world via satellite. Tommy Jahojarvi tested EMIT touch free punching system that will be used by members of the event. Also there was held a meeting with sports news representatives of the local TV and Radio Company “Tyumen Arena” where there were discussed technical issues of the upcoming broadcasts.
